Thankfulness

“…give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”

As the Thanksgiving weekend becomes more and more of a memory (which I have been replaying in my head)…I find the temptation to complain, about the present and the near future, crouching at my door.

Midterms. Garbage. Flies. Dirty toilets. Dirty sinks. Dirty bathtubs. Dirty dishes. Distractions. More garbage. The lack of home-ness.

Thankfulness: the ability to remain appreciative nonetheless.

I must remind myself of abundance of goodness that has been bestowed upon me in the past few days…

thank You for the TTC.
thank You for my much missed Gifties :)
thank You for uber sweet residences DT :P
thank You for pool.
thank You for the ability to walk.
thank You for the jokes :)

thank You for people willing to drive you home.
thank You for a mom who can’t sleep until you get home.
thank You for a mom who wants to hear how your day was – even if it is 2 am.

thank You for lots of good and tasty food.
thank You for quiet.
thank You for a dad who tells long, detailed stories very loudly :P

thank You for black and white.
thank You for comfort.
thank You for hair dye :P
thank You for cousins.
thank You for car rides.
