13 reasons why God has been so good to me (in the past 4 days)
1. The realization that things are never as bad as they seem, that there is always someone, somewhere out there that has it a gazillion times worse than you ever you will.
2. The endless hugs.
3. The looks of genuine concern from those who really care about you.
4. The best friend who goes to all your classes, which are totally out of her way to go to, to get all your homework and to tell all your teachers why you’re not at school, so that when you go (today) they know why and don’t harass you and make you cry.
5. For the people who *listen and *care.
6. For the visits when you are at home and when they have spare, even though there is still English class to go to.
7. For the prayers and love and support from those who know me best.
8. For the peace and comfort that only God can provide me—no matter how much I try to ‘express myself’ or talk about it with people (who may or may not understand what I am trying to say)
9. For the people who know exactly what I am going through and know exactly what to say J
10. The reinforcement, due to messed up whack things, that everything happens for a reason, that even though you may cross paths with someone and talk to them once for like, 5 minutes—and never see them again—that it can sometimes come back to you in the most messed up and unpleasant ways.
11. The encouragement.
12. The knowledge that my own little and meager understanding of life and the grand scheme of things is like, soo insignificant and trivial—but that God has His purpose and His will that will occur, despite the flaws in the world, despite the flaws in people, despite the flaws in any and all circumstances….He is in control and he doesn’t forsake.
13. Knowing that whatever happens in life, the answer is never to go to a pub and get totally drunk at 3 in the afternoon.
