…about The Big Day…
So we decided to have a quasi-surprise goodbye party for Mai and Sahil…since Mai's leaving on Saturday (for RMC training/army stuff) and Sahil is leaving on July 15th for his army stuff and he's going to Calgary.
I don't even know where to start!
Well, the plan was…just to surprise them when they got here…but then someone had the sick idea of tackling them to the ground, putting a burlap sack over their heads, tying their extremities with duct tape, beating them and them kidnapping them in David's van…taking them out for a nice ride in the neighbourhood.
Our plan was far too idealistic, since both of these guys are in the army...8 guys couldn't take down Sahil…well they didn't really want to because he was in a suit as well…but they did break his watch while unsuccessfully trying to subdue him.
Well, Mai on the other hand, was not in a suit and they tackled him to the ground, only by his own will and instead of a burlap sack, we had a big brown paper bag (which ripped in 2 seconds) and a bright pink bed sheet and green masking tape…they got him in the van and 'subdued' him quite nicely.
I don't know how he ended up with his shirt off but it was quite...disturbing...to say the least...
On to our banner…the girls (and Aki) slaved away in the hot sun to make the beautiful manly banner for these dudes….isn't it lowwely?
It was sweet....with the scrapbooks everyone started getting all sentimental and teary-eyed...awww...Group Hug!!!
Well…off the Jays Game…we went for another ride in David's 'van'….i honestly think you need a F2 license or something to drive it…it fits 14 people in it!!! They had those kinda vans for UP and the drivers had separate licenses for them….David only has his G2…it was BAD news…it doesn't break very well and we had quite a scare when he made a very sharp/fast right turn off of Kingston Road...let's just say it felt like we were on 2 wheels and that David thought we were all going to die…hahaha….hindsight is so beautiful because it makes really, really, bad regrettable things seem humourous.
At Warden…we waited for Mai's car of people to come…we started fanning ourselves with the other banner (for Mike D.) and it was great…the looks on the people's faces…just great. Apparently you can buy dresses and socks in this store at Warden Station…it was weird.
At the game…we saw Tanya's beloved Maureen!! AND it was just a coincidence that we were in the section next to Mike D.!!!!! He is this really really cool usher man that we all stalk and have been stalking for about a year now. He is just a cool kid that works at the Skydome with a bunch of gifted fans…We got on the Jumbotron….with the help of the Mike D. sign!!!!
We got a group photo with the man!!! (Mike D.)...this totally made our day...he also autographed the previous pictures we had taken of him! He signed our banner too!
On the way home...after jays/dinner....we took the subway…but the kids decided to 'borrow' a nice big green balloon from Marche (since it was sooo expensive) and play with it not only on the streets of Downtown Toronto at midnight…but on the TTC as well….it got sooo violent and crazy…man when we were on the other car (on the subway) looking in at them…they looked soooo stupid…but when we were there, with them, in the same car, playing with the balloon…it was a whole different story....
It was such an awesome way to end the year with my gifties (+ 4 reggies, hey that's weird…we're including more and more of them)…but it's not over yet! :P
*sniff*...awww...i'm gonna miss them....
